A 3D Polycrystalline Plasticity Model for Isotropic Linear Evolution of Intragranular Misorientation with Mesoscopic Plastic Strain in Stretched or Cyclically Deformed Metals

چکیده
Two-dimensional electron back-scattered diffraction (2D-EBSD) mapping has been widely used for indicating the polycrystalline plasticity through intragranular misorientation parameters KAM and GROD, based on empirically linear relationship between their average values mesoscopic plastic strain, in both stretched cyclically deformed metals. However, whether measured 2D-EBSD observational plane objectively reflects 3D or not is a rarely reported issue. In this research, we firstly compared GROD planes with different angles to loading axis of specimen undeformed clamp sections gauge section, verify increase isotropically strain. Then, proposed six fundamental assumptions developed modified model 2D our previous work. This can explain isotropic evolution low alloy steel uniform equiaxial grains.

A Strain Range Dependent Cyclic Plasticity Model
Hysteresis loop curves are highly important for numerical simulations of materials deformation under cyclic loadings. The models mainly take account of only the tensile half of the stabilized cycle in hysteresis loop for identification of the constants which don’t vary with accumulation of plastic strain and strain range of the hysteresis loop. This approach may be quite erroneous particularly ...
متن کاملQuasi-static Evolution for a Model in Strain Gradient Plasticity
We prove the existence of a quasistatic evolution for a model in strain gradient plasticity proposed by Gurtin and Anand concerning isotropic, plastically irrotational materials under small deformations. This is done by means of the energetic approach to rate-independent evolution problems. Finally we study the asymptotic behavior of the evolution as the strain gradient length scales tend to ze...
متن کاملinvestigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
Shape- Dependent Term Investigation of Khan- Liu Yield/ Fracture Criterion as a Function of Plastic Strain for Anisotropic Metals
The current paper primarily aims to suggest a mathematical model for the shape-dependent term of Khan- Liu (KL) Yield/ fracture criterion as a function of Plastic Strain for DP590 steel alloy. The shape-dependent term in the mention criterion can generalize the application of this criterion in order to predict the behavior of other materials. Plane stress case and the first quarter of the stres...
متن کاملMisorientation Mapping for Visualization of Plastic Strain via Electron Back-scattered Diffraction
The ability to map elastic or plastic strain on a microstructural level is critical to understanding and controlling deformation in structural alloys and ceramics. Electron back-scattered diffraction (EBSD) and related techniques, such as electron channeling patterns, have been used with some success to measure the plastic strain around cracks in Fe-3Si single crystals [1], Cu single crystals [...
